18 Million Students Are Going on Summer Vacation: When Will the Last Bell Ring?

Approximately 18 million students studying in preschool, primary, and secondary education institutions across the country will start their summer vacation by receiving their report cards on Friday, June 26. The 2025-2026 academic year began on September 8, 2025. The first semester break was applied between November 10-14, 2025, and the second semester break between March 16-20. The second semester, which started on February 2, will end on Friday, June 26. The Ministry of National Education has prepared a 'End of Term Culture, Art, and Sports Activities Week Plan' to support the mental, social, emotional, physical, and moral development of students in the last week of the academic year. During the activity week, students will have the opportunity to learn while having fun by participating in activities planned within the framework of 'virtue-value-action'. The program aims to support the multi-faceted development of students through social, cultural, artistic, and sports activities. The goal is to implement activities that will attract the attention of students without imposing an additional financial burden on parents, using the resources available at schools, and to encourage learning through play.
