15-Year-Old National Athlete Kardelen Çarpar Wins Silver Medal at World Championship
The 15-year-old talented national athlete from Tekirdağ, Kardelen Çarpar, won the silver medal in the apnea discipline at the Freediving Pool World Championship, becoming the world's second-best.Kardelen started freediving last year on her friend's advice and was selected for the national team with 2 gold and 2 silver medals at the Freediving Pool Turkey Championship and National Team Selection in Tekirdağ in April. At the Freediving Pool World Championship held in Serbia last month, the young athlete represented Turkey and won the silver medal in the apnea discipline in her first world championship.National athlete Kardelen Çarpar stated that the world championship was both exciting and educational for her. Expressing her great pride in her achievement, Çarpar said, "I am proud of myself because I worked hard for this success. Receiving the reward for my efforts was truly valuable. Representing my country and waving our flag was an indescribable, special feeling."The young athlete stated that this success has motivated her for new targets and expressed her desire to achieve new records in her national team career. National team coach Sertan Aydın noted that Kardelen Çarpar has shown significant development in a short time and that her podium finish in her first world championship is a remarkable achievement.
