12-Year-Old Achieves Great Success: Wins Bronze Medal in World Math Competition

In the World Mathematics Invitational (WMI) 2026 World Finals held in Japan, 12-year-old Metehan Doğan made Turkey proud by winning a bronze medal. Among approximately 1000 students who participated in the competition, Metehan's achievement is notable.As a student of the DENEYAP Technology Workshop of the Turkey Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation) and a 7th-grade student at Balçova Asil Nadir Middle School, MetehanMetehan stated that he prepared for the exam for about a year with the support of his math teacher father and his mother, who works as a revenue expert in the public sector.He created a special study plan by solving past questions from the WMI.
