A Major Step to Quit Smoking: Free Medication for 1 Million People

A presidential decree has been issued to provide free medication to 1 million people who want to quit smoking. Those undergoing tobacco addiction treatment will receive free medication and nicotine replacement support, regardless of their social security status. This decision was published in the Official Gazette and has come into effect. The application, which will allow 1 million people to benefit from free medication, will be carried out by the Ministry of Health. Nicotine replacement preparations and certain medications will be distributed to health facilities.
