Artificial Intelligence Reconstructs Videos from Brain Signals

A study in Japan has demonstrated that artificial intelligence can analyze human brain activity to reconstruct videos that individuals have watched.Using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data, the researchers recreated scenes from videos that people had watched, not just at the object level but also in terms of the flow of events.The AI system analyzed thousands of video clips to create a "semantic signature" for each image. These signatures were then matched with the brain activity of volunteers as they watched the videos.The scientists believe that this technology could potentially help patients who have lost their ability to speak due to illness to communicate in the future.
