Emergency Power Outages Implemented in Kiev and Surroundings

Emergency power outages have been implemented in Kiev and its surrounding areas following intense Russian airstrikes. One of the country's largest energy companies announced that, per the instruction of the transmission system operator Ukrenergo, emergency power outages have been put in place in the region. The Mayor of Kiev, Vitaliy Kliçko, described the attack as 'the most intense assault on the capital since the start of the special military operation'. The critical targets hit by Russian forces included Ukrainian defense industry facilities, a major transportation-logistics center, strategic fuel depots, and gas distribution stations. Widespread power outages were reported across the city after these infrastructure attacks, which caused significant damage.
