Severe Storm Hits France: Two Deaths, Thousands Left Without Power

A severe storm that swept through various regions of France has resulted in the loss of two lives and left thousands of homes without electricity.

Approximately 100 individuals were evacuated from their homes and taken to emergency shelters, with at least 5 people injured.
A tornado in the town of Saint-Etienne, located in the Loire department, caused two trucks to overturn on the A72 highway, disrupting traffic, while local firefighters responded to over 600 incidents due to the adverse weather conditions.
The town of Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, in the Isere department, also experienced the fury of the storm, with trees uprooted, power poles toppled, and roofs torn off homes.
In the village of Saint-Victurnien, within the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, a 30-year-old woman lost her life when a tree fell on her.
In the Dolomieu commune, within the Auvergne Rhone-Alpes region, the body of a 37-year-old individual was discovered in a workshop that had caught fire after being struck by lightning.
